Accu-Line Brake & Wheel is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology like screen readers or navigate by keyboard.

Our standard

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2, Level AA -- the benchmark most commonly referenced in ADA Title III digital accessibility cases. This covers visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive accessibility needs.

What we've done

• Descriptive alt text on every meaningful image, and purely decorative images marked so screen readers skip them
• A visible skip-to-content link on every page
• Semantic HTML headings and landmarks throughout
• Verified color contrast on body text and interactive elements site-wide
• Keyboard-navigable menus, links, and buttons
• All interactive elements -- including the mobile menu and its open/close button -- have accessible names and states

Our audit

On September 1, 2026, we ran an automated accessibility scan (axe-core, tested against WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level A and AA) across all 16 pages of this site -- home, about, reviews, contact, the services hub, and every individual service page. The scan found zero violations on every page. One item on the home page was flagged for manual review rather than pass/fail -- the hero text sits over a photograph, and automated tools can't fully calculate contrast against an image background on their own. That section was already deliberately designed with a dark overlay for readability, and it reads clearly in practice; we're noting it here rather than treating an automated tool's uncertainty as a clean bill of health.

An automated scan is a strong signal, not the whole picture -- it catches a large share of common issues but can't fully stand in for a real screen-reader walkthrough or a complete keyboard-only pass through every page. We haven't done that deeper manual pass yet. Until we have, treat this as a good-faith target backed by a clean automated result, not a certified guarantee.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time checklist. We'll re-check this site when content or design changes meaningfully, and at least annually otherwise.
